Pinot Noir 2014
This Pinot Noir is produced from Abel, Pommard and Dijon clones grown on selected vineyards from the Martinborough Terrace. Fermented as three separate parcels, we enjoyed fantastic ripe fruit, all hand harvested from late March to early April, 100% destemmed and held under cooling prior to fermentation to maximise maceration.
The wine is deep red and typically savoury in an emerging Harvest Estate style, showing silky soft tannins and perfumed of rich cherries and plums, earth and dried herbs.
Aging in Burgundy 228L barriques for a 13 months has allowed the wine to mature, concentrating the ripe fruit flavours, soften tannins and highlight the old vine characteristics of this fine wine.
